Cosmos Riders: Social Grid

Last week’s launch of our Cosmos Riders contest brought our community together to solve riddles and work through a series of tasks. This week, we’re bringing the next competition to your doorstep... Social Grid. Important Note: If you didn’t take part in last week’s Entrance Plaza competition, you’ll have to do that first before joining the Social Grid competition. 2nd Competition: Social Grid

Welcome to Social Grid, the second competition in our community contest! This competition will run for a month with a focus on content! Every week, new participants can join the competition for a chance to complete the task and show us what you've got. We'll keep you updated with status reports at the end of each week.

Video creator? Create a 2 to 5 minute video reviewing IST and upload it to Youtube. Writer? Ink a 500-word article about an aspect of Inter Protocol and publish on Medium.

Tweet lord? Write a 10-tweet thread about your favorite aspect of Inter Protocol. The key rule is that all submissions must be in English.

Even if you are not chosen as a winner for the Social Grid competition, you will still receive the Content Guru role, which grants you access to the next competition!

• If any BLD remains at the end of a week during the competition, it will be transferred to the next week's pool of BLD.

FAQ

How do I know I’ve completed the Social Grid competition? 

Participants who complete the task of the Social Grid channel will receive the Content Guru role on Discord after the update of the competition is posted.

I completed the competition, but I didn’t receive any BLD

Up to 5 competitors can receive 400 BLD each. If you were not selected, you will have a new chance each week to improve the content that you previously created until we close the Social Grid competition at the beginning of January 2023. 

Why can't I see the Social Grid channel?

The Cosmos Riders contest requires participants to complete every competition to advance to the next. If you cannot see the Social Grid channel, it means that you first have to complete the Entrance Plaza competition.

Contest Rules

1.Sponsorship. The sponsor of the IST Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is DCF, 103 South Church Street, P.O. Box 472, George Town, Grand Cayman KY1-1106, Cayman Islands (“Sponsor”). Sponsor will conduct the Giveaway substantially as described in these Official Rules. The Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter, Discord, or other social media channels used for promotional purposes.

2.Eligibility. Except where otherwise prohibited by law or as provided in the Official Rules, the Giveaway is open to those over the age of majority with a Discord account. The Giveaway is subject to federal, state, and local laws and regulations and void where prohibited by law. Individuals who are residents of a country, state, or jurisdiction where the laws of the United States or local law prohibits participating or receiving a prize in the Giveaway (including Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria and any other country designated by the United States Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control) are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway. Further, the employees and directors of the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, affiliates, and any suppliers, partners, advertising and promotion agencies involved in the Giveaway (collectively the “Employees”), as well as members of an Employees' immediate family and/or those living in the same household of Employees, are ineligible to participate in the Giveaway. It is each participant’s responsibility to ensure that they are legally eligible to enter the Giveaway under any laws applicable to them in their jurisdiction of residence or otherwise.

3.Agreement to Rules. By entering the Giveaway, the entrant (“You”) agrees to abide by the Official Rules and Sponsor’s decisions, which are fully and unconditionally binding in all respects. By entering the Giveaway, You represent and warrant that You are eligible to participate based on eligibility requirements explained in the Official Rules. You also agree to accept the decisions of the Sponsor as final and binding as they relate to the Giveaway. You acknowledge that the Sponsor reserves the right to refuse, withdraw, or disqualify any entry at any time at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.

4.The Giveaway Entry Period. The Giveaway includes multiple entry and eligibility periods. To be eligible for the Giveaway in any particular period, Your full entry must be completed and received by the conclusion of that Entry Period.

5.NO PURCHASE IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN THE GIVEAWAY. PURCHASES WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

6.Suitable Behavior. You agree, and hereby represent and warrant, that (i) Your entry is not and will not be libelous, defamatory, disparaging, inappropriate, obscene, illegal or intended to abuse, threaten or harass any individual or entity, (ii) Your entry and Sponsor’s subsequent use of Your entry does not and will not violate any rights of a third party, including intellectual property rights, rights of privacy and rights of publicity and (iii) You will not violate Discord’s terms and conditions in connection with Your entry. You may not tamper with or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Giveaway, including by producing multiple entries, using multiple accounts to enter the Giveaway, entering the Giveaway on behalf of anyone other than Yourself, or using bots, macros, scripts or other technical means of entering or participating. Incomplete entries or those that do not adhere to the Official Rules will be disqualified at the Sponsor's sole discretion.

7.Selection and Notification of Winners. SELECTION OF WINNER IS AT SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION.  POTENTIAL WINNERS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY DISCORD VIA THE HANDLE THEY PROVIDED DURING ENTRY SUBMISSION.  POTENTIAL WINNERS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED IF THEY DO NOT RESPOND OR IF THEY DO NOT PROVIDE AN AGORIC WALLET ADDRESS WITHIN 48 HOURS OF BEING NOTIFIED.  IF ANY WINNER VIOLATES ANY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES, THE WINNER (AT THE SPONSOR’S SOLE DISCRETION) WILL BE DISQUALIFIED, AND ALL PRIVILEGES AS WINNER, INCLUDING ANY RIGHT TO A PRIZE, WILL BE IMMEDIATELY FORFEITED. If a prize is forfeited for any reason in accordance with these Official Rules, an alternate Winner may be selected under the supervision of the Sponsor. The Sponsor is not responsible for Winners’ failure to receive notices due to privacy settings that may cause notifications to be blocked or Winners’ failure to provide, or provision of incorrect or otherwise non-functioning, identifying or wallet information. A list of Winners may be obtained by the Inter Protocol Discord Server.

8.Prizes. Each Winner will receive BLD tokens. You acknowledge and agree that (a) the value of a BLD token can be volatile (as further detailed in Section 11 below), (b) Sponsor cannot and will not guarantee that any prize won will retain its original value and (c) You will assume all risk associated with the use and value of the prize (as further detailed in Section 11 below). There shall be no cash or other prize substitution permitted except at the Sponsor’s sole discretion. The Winners shall not request the cash equivalent or prize substitution. The Sponsor is not responsible for, and will not replace, any lost or stolen prize or any prize that is unable to reach a Winner because of missing, incorrect or otherwise non-functioning identifying or wallet information. If a Winner does not accept any of the prize or the entire prize within the designated time period, the unclaimed prize will be forfeited, and the Sponsor will have no further obligation to distribute such prize. Each Winner, upon acceptance of the prize, is solely responsible for all expenses related to the prize, including without limitation any and all local, state, and federal taxes. Entrants waive the right to assert as a cost of winning any prize, any and all costs of transaction, verification, redemption or travel to claim or use a prize and any liability which might arise from claiming, seeking to claim, or using a prize. Prize fulfillment is subject to verification and eligibility restrictions. Receipt of the prize offered in the Giveaway by the Winner is upon the condition of compliance with any and all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The odds of winning the prize will vary based on the number of eligible entries received.

9.Integrity of the Giveaway. In its sole discretion, the Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, cancel, or terminate the Giveaway should non-authorized human intervention, technical issues, a bug or virus, fraud, tampering, possible fraud, or other causes or irregularities beyond the Sponsor’s control, impact or corrupt the security, fairness, proper conduct, or administration of the Giveaway. Sponsor is not and cannot be held liable for any such issues. The Sponsor, in the event of any of the above issues, may determine the Winners based on all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the occurrence of the issue. In its sole discretion, the Sponsor has the right to take any lawful and appropriate steps to maintain the integrity of the Giveaway, such as voiding entries for any reason. Attempts by any entrant to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may be a violation of criminal and civil laws. If any such attempt is made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10.  Limitation of Liability. Your entry into the Giveaway constitutes Your agreement to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its subsidiaries, representatives, affiliates, partners, advertising and promotion agencies, successors, agents, assigns, directors, employees, and officers (cumulatively, the “Sponsor Parties”) against and from any and all claims, liability, illness, injury, death, litigation, loss, or damages (cumulatively, “Losses”) that may arise, directly or indirectly from, or be related to (a) Your participation in the Giveaway, (b) a Winner’s acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any awarded prize or any portion thereof; (c) any type of technical failure, including the malfunction of any computer, cable, network, hardware, or software or other mechanical equipment; (d) the unavailability or inaccessibility of any transmissions, phone, or Internet service; (e) unauthorized intervention in any part of the entry process or the promotion; (f) electronic error or human error in the promotion, administration or the processing of entries; or (g) the use of personal information collected in connection with the Giveaway. You hereby agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Sponsor Parties from and against any Losses arising from third-party claims, including intellectual property, right of publicity and right of privacy claims, that may arise, directly or indirectly from, or be related to, Your entry into the Giveaway or the Sponsor’s subsequent use of any content in or from an entry. For the avoidance of doubt, the release and indemnification described in this Section 10 are in addition to, and do not limit any disclaimers and limitations of Sponsor’s liability set forth elsewhere in these Official Rules.

11.  Disclaimers

11.1.   General. EACH WINNER AGREES THAT THE PRIZE IS PROVIDED AS-IS WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION OR GUARANTEE, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED BY LAW, COURSE OF DEALING, COURSE OF PERFORMANCE, USAGE OF TRADE OR OTHERWISE, RELATIVE TO THE VALUE, USE OR ENJOYMENT OF THE PRIZE, INCLUDING ANY (A) WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, (B) WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, (C) WARRANTY OF TITLE, OR (D) WARRANTY AGAINST INFRINGEMENT OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS OF A THIRD PARTY. Without limiting any other provision in these Official Rules, the Sponsor is not responsible or liable to any entrant or Winner for failure to supply the prize or any portion thereof in the event that the Giveaway or the Sponsor’s operations or activities are affected, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, by any event or circumstance outside of the Sponsor’s control, including any acts of God, pandemic, equipment failure, technical failure, threatened or actual terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, epidemic, explosion, unusually severe weather, embargo, labor dispute or strike labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot or any law, rule, regulation, order or other action adopted or taken by any governmental authority.

11.2.   Certain Risks Associated with BLD Tokens and Other Digital Blockchain Assets.

11.2.1.   The Giveaway and any allocation of BLD tokens in connection with the Giveaway are not intended to be an offering or sale of securities, swaps on either securities or commodities or a financial instrument of any kind as may be determined by any law, rule, or regulation. The Giveaway may not be subject to the protections of any laws governing those types of financial instruments. Neither these Official Rules, nor any other content on the Sponsor’s websites or social media accounts or content distributed in connection with the Giveaway, constitute a prospectus or offering document, and are not an offer to sell. In the event that Sponsor deposits BLD tokens into an incorrect address, Sponsor may not have the ability, and is under no obligation or duty, to return such digital assets or BLD tokens to the Winner(s).

11.2.2.   Sponsor does not give any advice or recommendation regarding digital blockchain assets or BLD tokens, including, but not limited to, advice or recommendation relating to the suitability and/or appropriateness of, and investment strategies for, the purchase of such digital block chain assets for financial investment purposes. You are solely responsible for determining the nature, potential value, suitability, and appropriateness of Your involvement with the Giveaway and acceptance of BLD tokens for any purpose. The BLD tokens allocated in connection with the Giveaway are not designed for investment purposes and Sponsor does not give any advice or recommendation that the BLD tokens are to be considered as a type of financial investment by any law, rule, or regulation. You acknowledge and agree that You are not expecting to profit from the BLD tokens based on any efforts by Sponsor or its affiliates. The allocation of the BLD token is a non-reversible event. Sponsor shall not have any obligation or liability for the secure custody or use of the BLD token or any losses arising from such custody or use thereof.

11.3.   Please note the following risks in accessing or using BLD tokens: The value and liquidity of blockchain assets, including BLD tokens, are extremely volatile and may be subject to large fluctuations; fluctuations in the price of other digital assets could materially and adversely affect BLD tokens and the underlying currency supporting such BLD tokens, which may also be subject to significant volatility; legislative and regulatory changes or actions at the state, federal, or international level may adversely affect the use, transfer, exchange, and value of BLD tokens; BLD tokens are not legal tender and are not backed by the government; transactions in BLD tokens may be irreversible, and, accordingly, losses due to fraudulent or accidental transactions may not be recoverable; some transactions in BLD tokens shall be deemed to be made when recorded on a public ledger, which is not necessarily the date or time of the transaction; the value of BLD token may be derived from the continued willingness of market participants to exchange fiat currency or digital assets for BLD tokens, which may result in the potential for permanent and total loss of value of a particular BLD token should the market for that BLD token disappear; the nature of BLD tokens may lead to an increased risk of fraud or cyber- attack, and may mean that technological difficulties experienced by Sponsor may prevent the access to, use or transfer of the digital assets described herein and/or any of the Winners’ personal information may create a risk that Your access to the Giveaway and BLD tokens will suffer.

11.4.   You are solely responsible for determining the nature, potential value, suitability, and appropriateness of the risks described in the Official Rules for Yourself. You are entering the Giveaway at Your own risk, without the expectation of any financial or other economic gain; however, You also acknowledge that this brief statement does not disclose all of the risks associated with BLD tokens and other digital blockchain assets. Sponsor will not be responsible for any communication failures, disruptions, errors, distortions or delays any Winner may experience when using BLD tokens or blockchain technology generally.

12.  Privacy. Sponsor, its representatives, affiliates, and any suppliers, partners, advertising and promotion agencies involved in the Giveaway may collect and process certain personal information and other data, including Discord identifiers and wallet addresses, to administer the Giveaway, award prizes and communicate with You. You hereby affirmatively consent to this collection and processing of data. You acknowledge that if You do not consent to this collection and processing of data, You must not enter the Giveaway. By participating in the Giveaway via Discord, participants are also subject to each platforms’ privacy policies and terms of use, which can be found at each platform’s website.
